Into the Sunset in a Nozawan Dream

from A$72.00

Drew Jolowicz skis into the sunset in Japan. I had been thinking about a shot like this for a few years and after many failed attempts (caused by fog or snow melting off the trees too early) it all finally came together in January 2018. Drew and I headed to this spot, which is open to the setting sun after a great day of riding. It had snowed 50cm the night before and cleared during the afternoon. In the end it was a bit of a rush with Drew scrambling through waist deep pow to get a good run in before the sun disappeared behind a bank of cloud. Luckily just in time about 45 seconds after this shot the light was gone! This is my favourite ski shot.
